Pergolas around the pool and spa, a turf lawn for yard games, string lights overhead and a fire pit tucked into the citrus.
Family Focused is a Gilbert backyard built for time together. The pool and spa sit at the center, a turf lawn opens up beside them for yard games, and pergolas, string lights and a fire pit tucked into the citrus give the yard several places to gather, from the water to the bar to the fire.
The pool has a long straight run with a raised stacked-stone wall along one side, where sheer descents pour into the water. At one end, a sun shelf holds chaise loungers in the shallow water under blue umbrellas. A round raised spa, wrapped in stacked stone and capped in travertine, sits at the edge nearest the house.
White pergolas frame the deck. One covers a bar built in stacked stone with stools along the counter, right beside the lawn. Another shades a seating area on the far side of the pool, and tall posts strung with lights run along the back of the yard, so the whole space glows at night.
Travertine covers the deck from the house to the back wall, and the turf lawn sits right next to it, with room for cornhole and open play. Potted succulents mark the corners of the pool, and palms rise behind the sheer wall.
In the back corner, a round fire pit wrapped in stacked stone with a travertine cap sits on its own patio, framed by white benches and a row of citrus trees. Under the string lights and the moon, it is the last stop of the night.
