Pools & Landscapes in Queen Creek

Building a Pool in Queen Creek

Queen Creek incorporated in 1989, but its story starts with families who farmed cotton, corn and potatoes in the fertile valley below the San Tan Mountains. Citrus and pecans still grow here, and that agricultural character carries into the newer master plans. The town sits right next to our San Tan Valley base.

The Town of Queen Creek's Building Safety division requires a permit for swimming pools and spas, and it spells out the barrier options. A five-foot fence on all sides works, and so does a five-foot fence on three sides paired with a motorized safety cover or a self-closing, self-latching door, each with conditions. We pick the approach that suits your yard.

Many Queen Creek homes sit in master-planned communities such as Hastings Farms, Harvest Queen Creek and Queen Creek Station, each with an association. Their architectural review runs alongside the Town permit, and we prepare both from one set of plans.

Design Notes

What Queen Creek Yards Ask For

Room to play, trees to work around and mountain views to face.

Plan the Whole Lot

When a yard has space, the question becomes how the family wants to use it. We zone swimming, lounging, games and cooking, then link them with paths and lighting so the yard reads as one place. Legacy Living, next door in San Tan Valley, shows it at full scale.

Trees That Drop Leaves

Pecan groves and citrus give Queen Creek much of its character, and pecans shed their leaves every fall. Near mature trees we plan skimmer placement, cleaning systems and Pentair automation so the pool stays clear with less work.

Face the San Tans

Many Queen Creek lots look toward the San Tan Mountains. We turn seating, fire features and the long axis of the pool toward that ridgeline and keep the lighting warm and low so the evening silhouette stays visible.

Where We Work

Queen Creek Neighborhoods We Serve

Master plans and estate communities across town.

The Pecans

A gated estate community set inside a grove of more than 4,000 mature pecan trees. Designs here work around root zones and fall leaf drop as much as around the house.

Hastings Farms

A master plan near Ellsworth and Chandler Heights with trails, playgrounds and San Tan Mountain views. Family yards here suit pools with shallow benches and room for turf.

Harvest Queen Creek

Built around agricultural themes, with a park called The Grange at its center. Warm materials and garden-style plantings feel right next to that farm heritage.

Queen Creek Station

A master plan in central Queen Creek near the Queen Creek Marketplace, laced with walking trails. Its smaller lots suit a compact pool and spa combination.

Good Questions

Questions From Queen Creek Homeowners

Do I need a permit for a pool in Queen Creek?

Yes. The Town requires a permit for swimming pools and spas, and the pool must be enclosed by a compliant barrier. We prepare the plans, show the barrier approach and handle the submittal.

What pool barrier options does Queen Creek allow?

The Town lists several, including a five-foot fence on all sides, or one on three sides plus a motorized safety cover or a self-closing, self-latching door. Each has conditions we confirm for your layout.

Will my HOA need to approve the pool?

If you live in a master plan such as Hastings Farms, Harvest Queen Creek or Queen Creek Station, plan on architectural review. We read your community's guidelines early and submit while the Town permit is in review.

Can you build a pool near mature pecan or citrus trees?

Usually, with planning. We place the pool and footings to protect root zones, position skimmers for leaf drop and recommend cleaning systems and automation that cut maintenance.

Can I fit a pool and a sport court on my lot?

On a larger lot, often yes. Legacy Living sets a lit pickleball court below the pool terrace. On a standard lot a putting green or half court may fit better, and we check it against your lot dimensions.
